CDO Co-Sponsorship of Student Org Events

The Career Development Office (CDO) is able to assist student organizations coordinating career-related presentations and panels for their members and the greater Law Center community. To have the CDO co-sponsor your career-related presentation or panel, simply fill out the form below. A member of the CDO team will contact you to discuss the specifics of the event. The CDO can assist your student organization with the following services:

• suggesting relevant speakers,
• advertising the event in the CDO Weekly Digest (if a promotional summary is received by Thursday at 12pm of the week before the event), and
• adding a flyer (in PowerPoint form) promoting the event to television screens around the Law Center.

Note that the CDO is no longer able to provide funding assistance to purchase food or drinks for co-sponsored events. Please abide by the following co-sponsorship guidelines:

• Co-sponsorship is generally available for career-related events from September to April.
• The "Co-Sponsored Student Organization Event Request Form" must be completed at least 3 weeks in advance of your scheduled event.
• The CDO will co-sponsor one event, per semester, per student organization.  
• The date of your event cannot conflict with any other CDO event.
• One individual from your organization must be assigned as the event liaison.
• As it pertains to this event, your student organization must adhere to the policies, rules, and procedures outlined in the Student Organization Handbook found here: http://www.law.uh.edu/organizations/handbook.pdf.
