Scholarships empower deserving and high-caliber students from all backgrounds to follow their dreams by improving access and equity in legal education.
The Dean‘s Society, our premiere Law Fund giving society, and its members fuel the Law Center by providing crucial support for our students and faculty.

May 27, 2025 – University of Houston Law Center alumnus J.W. “Bill” Stewart (J.D. ’73) didn’t follow a conventional career path — he created his own.
May 15, 2025 – University of Houston Law Center alumnus Armin Salek (J.D. 16) was recently elected to be president-elect of the Texas Young Lawyers Association and will serve as president from June 2026 to June 2027. He received 52.6% of the 4,053 votes cast.
May 13, 2025 – University of Houston Law Center alumnus Bryce Barcelo (J.D. '14) has been listed as one of Lawdragon’s 2025 “100 Global Leaders in Litigation Finance” for his distinguished career in intellectual property strategy and litigation. His recognition highlights a decade of impactful work in the field at the intersection of innovation, finance, and legal strategy.
UH Law Center Alumnus Mark R. Meador Appointed as FTC Commissioner
April 25, 2025 — The U.S. Senate recently confirmed University of Houston Law Center alumnus Mark R. Meador (J.D. ’11) to serve as a commissioner of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
