A legal education within the reach of modern working professionals
If you are a working professional seeking to complement your career or begin a new one with a highly-respected legal education, the University of Houston Law Center is for you. Our Part-Time Evening Program is designed to allow you to attend law school while maintaining career, financial, and family obligations.
Ranked #9 nationally, your legal education will be taught by the same world-class faculty as our our day program students during a time that best coordinates with your schedule. A typical evening student completes their J.D. degree in four consecutive academic years, meeting for classes between the hours of 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Monday through Thursday. You will be given priority for all courses taught in the evening and have equal access to all student programs which include Law Review, moot court, or other student-run activities. In addition, you will have access to the full breadth and depth of our Office of Career Development which can help you navigate your next steps upon graduation.
We are immensely proud of our Part-Time Evening Program as it is as rigorous and respected as our day program. In fact, employers often seek out our part-time evening graduates given their proven track record to balance work, school, and family obligations. Among our part-time evening alumni are accomplished law partners and executives at major corporations as well as members of the judiciary.
