Tiffany J. Tucker, Assistant Dean for Career Development
Tiffany joined the Career Development Office after practicing transactional intellectual property and general corporate law at a large New York law firm and is a member of the New York Bar. Tiffany earned a B.A. in both Psychology and Sociology from Grambling State University, an M.Ed. in Counselor Education from Florida A&M University, and a J.D. from Howard University School of Law. A native Texan, Tiffany is a former mental health counselor and professional development specialist.
Kourtney James, Director, Employer Relations and Development
Kourtney is a graduate of Harvard University with a B.A. in History of Science. She earned her J.D. from Stanford University Law School. Prior to joining the Career Development Office, Kourtney practiced corporate transactional law at a large Houston firm. While in law school, Kourtney coordinated the school’s annual Black Law Students Association conference.
Bill Powers, Director, Internship & Externship Programs
A native Houstonian, Bill Powers is a graduate of Houston Baptist University and University of Houston Law Center. Bill joined the Career Development Office after an alternative legal career as a managing editor for a respected legal publishing company.
Paul Klinger, Assistant Director for Career Development
Paul began working at the Career Development Office after practicing employment law and serving as an EEO Consultant and investigator for a local corporation. Paul earned both a B.A. in English and a J.D. from the University of Houston.
Chandria Jackson, Assistant Director for Career Development
Chandria Jackson is a graduate of the University of Houston Law Center. She earned her B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Prior to attending law school Chandria worked as a software quality assurance engineer for a software company. Chandria joined the Career Development Office after a career practicing in civil litigation with a regional trial boutique firm and a national insurance defense firm.
Anton Montano, Assistant Director for Career Development
Anton earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Houston, a J.D. from Cornell Law School, and an LL.M. from the University of Alabama School of Law. Prior to joining the Career Development Office, Anton practiced business litigation and counseling both as a solo practitioner and as a member of both state and national law firms. Anton also has taught undergraduate courses in business law as an adjunct instructor at Prairie View A&M University, and served as a law clerk for a federal judge in the U.S. Western District of Texas.
Anne Elise Doise, Graduate Counselor and Employment Statistics Consultant
Anne Elise is a native of Lafayette, LA and completed her undergraduate work in finance at Baylor University and subsequently, a Masters in Dispute Resolution at Southern Methodist University. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the Paul M. Hebert School of Law at Louisiana State University. After law school, she worked as a commercial litigator for a large Louisiana based law firm. Most recently she was Senior Career Specialist with University of Houston Law Center. She has returned to the University of Houston Law Center to support alumni in the pursuit of their post-graduate employment efforts and ensure the accuracy of UHLC graduate employment data compiled and reported to the ABA and other reporting bodies.
Tiffany Taylor, Graduate Employment Statistics Consultant
Tiffany works with UHLC recent graduates and graduate counselors to support UHLC alumni in the pursuit of their post-graduate employment efforts and ensure the accuracy of UHLC graduate employment data compiled and reported to the ABA and other reporting bodies. A graduate of the University of Georgia (B.S. in Math Education) and Howard University School of Law (J.D./M.B.A.), Tiffany has over a decade of experience in K-12 education policy, governance, and compliance.
Kecia Branch, Program Manager
Kecia Branch is a graduate of Tulane University New Orleans. Before joining the Law Center staff, Kecia worked several years as a Legal Assistant and building manager at the Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic & Center for Social Justice at Loyola New Orleans College of Law assisting Clinical Professors and clinic students. She also earned her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University.
Sanchez Steele, Program Coordinator
Sanchez earned his B.S. in Liberal Studies with minors in Business Administration and Management from Frostburg State University. Prior to joining the Career Development Office, he worked in administrative roles for healthcare and government settings. Sanchez also earned a M.S. in Management with a specialization in Human Resources from University of Maryland University College.
