UHLC EMPLOYMENT STATISTICS

In compliance with the American Bar Association Standard 509, the data below is provided to assist prospective law students in making an informed decision regarding where to attend law school. The University of Houston Law Center (UHLC) maintains timely and accurate documentation of graduate employment data and timely reports this employment data to the American Bar Association (ABA), the National Association for Law Placement (NALP), and US News & World Report.  Data sets for each year cover the employment status of December, May, and August graduates and report the employment status of those graduates as of March 15th of the following year.

These employment statistics  also assist students, graduates, and employers with identifying projected employment outcomes, including employment status, employment type, employment location, and annual salary.  Please see the ABA and NALP employment summary reports below for the most recent graduating classes. ABA employment reporting instructions may be found here. NALP employment reporting instructions may be found here.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, bar admission exams were canceled or delayed in many jurisdictions, thus making it more challenging for graduates to secure employment by the annual Graduate Employment Status Date of March 15. Please reference the 3 years of employment outcome data posted on the ABA Required Disclosures webpage of each ABA-Approved Law School or at www.abarequireddisclosures.org.
