The Office of Career Development offers numerous services to its alumni. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we may be of assistance with employment-related questions. The office offers resume review, mock interview and full job search services to alumni free of charge. If you are interested in speaking with one of our counselors, please email lawcareer@uh.edu.
Local and national employers post available attorney and legal-related positions on our job posting website hosted by Symplicity. If you do not have a password for this system, please request a password by emailing your current resume and year of graduation to lawcareer@uh.edu.
Law Center alumni may request access to the career center at a law school in another city outside of Houston for a prescribed period of time, which usually includes gaining access to that school’s job postings. Many law schools have black-out dates during which time reciprocity requests will not be entertained. Reciprocity requests take 1 to 2 weeks to process and alumni are notified by mail or e-mail that a request has been approved. Requests for reciprocity can be made to one law school per city per alum.
To request reciprocity at another law school outside of the Houston area, please email lawcareer@uh.edu with the following information: (1) the reciprocity contact information for the school; (2) a copy of their reciprocity policy (see NALP list of Reciprocity Policies by law school)
