Anne Chandler, ’98 Executive Director of Tahirih Justice Center’s Houston office

Anne Chandler is the Executive Director of Tahirih Justice Center’s Houston office. Tahirih Justice Center is a national, nonprofit organization that protects courageous immigrant women and children who refuse to be victims of violence. Prior to joining Tahirih in August of 2009, Anne was a Clinical Professor for the University of Houston Law Center where she served as the Interim Director of the Immigration Law Clinic; she still remains with the Law Center as an adjunct professor.

Cheryl D. Creuzot ’92 President Emeritus of Wealth Development Strategies, LLC

Cheryl D. Creuzot, a 36-year industry veteran, is currently President Emeritus of Wealth Development Strategies, LLC, since stepping down as President and Chief Executive Officer, a position she has held since 2000. Ms. Creuzot serves on the Board of Visitors of the MD Anderson Cancer Center. In addition to extensive civic service, Ms. Creuzot has received several political appointments.

Afsheen Davis ’06 Vice President, Legal Operations and Deputy General Counsel for Texas Children’s Hospital

Afsheen Davis is currently serving as the Vice President, Legal Operations and Deputy General Counsel for Texas Children’s. She attended Texas A&M University and obtained her law degree from University of Houston Law Center and simultaneously earned a Master’s in Public Health from the UT School of Health Sciences in Houston. Afsheen had the opportunity to move directly into an in-house position after graduating, serving as sole in-house counsel at a medical practice and Independent Physician Association. In her personal time, Afsheen enjoys serving with her husband Josh in philanthropic and non-profit roles in the community, and she loves raising her four children in the heart of Houston.

Vanessa D. Gilmore ’81 United States District Judge, Southern District of Texas

In 1994 when Judge Vanessa Diane Gilmore was sworn in, she was then the youngest sitting federal judge in the nation. Gilmore began her career at a Houston law firm known as Vickery, Kilbride, Gilmore and Vickery where she specialized in civil litigation. Her civic activities outside of the courtroom brought her to the attention of Governor Ann Richards who, in 1991 appointed Gilmore to the Texas Department of Commerce Policy Board, where she also served as chairperson from 1992 to 1994.

Stephany Olsen LeGrand ’08 Legal Counsel at Shell

Stephany Olsen LeGrand is Legal Counsel at Shell, supporting its New Energies businesses. She currently serves as the global focal point for onshore renewable power (solar, wind, and storage) and also supports Shell’s venture investments, digital ventures, and new fuels efforts. After completing law school at UHLC, Stephany served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Gray H. Miller in the Southern District of Texas. Following the clerkship, she joined the firm of Eversheds Sutherland (then Sutherland Asbill & Brennan) where she initially practiced in the Litigation group, most notably representing Transocean in the Macondo spill. She is married with three daughters and a “bonus” daughter and son.

C. Kay McCall ’84 Executive Director, Renewable Energy Alliance – Houston
Former Executive Officer, President and General Counsel, Noble Environmental Power

Ms. McCall is the Executive Director of the Renewable Energy Alliance of Houston, a new organization connecting members of the renewable energy industry in Houston, Previously, Ms. McCall served as the President, CEO and board member of Noble Environmental Power. Ms. McCall obtained her Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Houston.  A single mother while in law school, she was a recipient of the Judge Criss Cole Award.

Dianne Ralston is Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of TechnipFMC. She formerly was Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary at FMC Technologies. She previously served as Weatherford International’s Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary and worked in Schlumberger’s legal department for 15 years, holding a succession of senior roles including Deputy General Counsel and Director of Compliance.

Tramaine Chargois Singleton is the Lead Counsel for Halliburton Energy Services Inc.’s health, safety and environmental law practice area and the chairperson of the law department’s pro bono Steering Committee.  Prior to joining Halliburton, Ms. Singleton worked at Marathon Oil Company in various roles. She was names one of the Top 50 Women Lawyers in Houston by the National Diversity Council.  Finally, and most importantly, she is a wife and mother.
