Video of Event

1. What structural changes can you identify about your workplace that could be implemented to help women advance? (Consider the examples from the talk, including the Carter administration’s judicial commissions that led to the appointment of Amalya Kearse to the Second Circuit and Soia Mentshikoff’s change to the timing of the annual meeting for the Association of American Law Scools.)

2. Had you ever heard of any of these women before? What do you think about the idea that telling their stories collectively can help reveal structural impediments to equality?

3. Has there been a time in your professional life where you “self-shortlisted,” i.e. decided not to pursue a leadership role after being offered the opportunity? If so, why did you decline?
