FOR LEGAL EDUCATION AT THE UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON LAW CENTER AND BEYOND
Missed the Fuel the Future Launch Celebration?
The University of Houston Law Center is a dynamic, top-tier law school. UHLC’s Health Law (#7), Intellectual Property Law (#6) and Part-time Program (#9) rank in the U.S. News & World Report’s top programs. The Law Center is a hub of intellectual activity with 11 centers and institutes, which fuel its educational mission and national reputation as a leader in legal education.
The Fuel the Future Initiative aims to advance our mission with a sophisticated and ambitious plan that empowers social equity and access to legal education through philanthropic support of the Law Center's areas of greatest need - Scholarships and the Law Fund.
Join the Fuel the Future Initiative by supporting both funds below.
Scholarships empower deserving and high-caliber students from all backgrounds to follow their dreams by improving access and equity in legal education. By investing in students today, we remove financial barriers to fuel the legal minds and leaders of tomorrow. Scholarship support grows not only an individual’s prosperity, but a robust and diverse legal community, and ultimately grows a philanthropic community to continue to give back for generations to come. The initiative goal is to triple our annual philanthropic scholarship support and raise $10 million by 2026.
Annual support to the Law Fund and the leadership annual giving society, Dean’s Society, provides fuel for growth and innovation. The Law Fund’s flexible funding unlocks potential and allows faculty and students to do more, go further, and dream bigger. This funding also makes it possible for UHLC to continue leading legal education with innovative programming and stand strong to weather crises without losing momentum. The initiative aims to increase annual support for thriving and leading-edge programs.

“I am the first lawyer in my family, and scholarships gave me every tool I needed to successfully start my journey. I received a full tuition scholarship, which provided me with the space to focus on learning. I successfully completed law school with an associate opportunity at a top firm and had the best mentors a student could ever ask for.”
