UH Foundation Scholarship Process

We no longer accept paper scholarship applications. (NO EXCEPTIONS) The new UHF scholarship system will open and begin accepting scholarships on Monday, March 18, 2024 with a deadline of April 12, 2024 for the 24/25 academic year

PSA: For students applying for any UH Foundation scholarships, please be sure to download/upload all required documents correctly. Failure to do so will result in disqualification of your application.

Go to https://universityofhoustonfoundation.org

Click on the red Scholarship button on the upper right side of the page to access the new scholarship system home page. If there are issues with the link on the UHF website, please use this url:  https://uhf.academicworks.com

On the scholarship system home page, there will be a list of UHF scholarships that are available to UH System students with a brief description of each scholarship’s criteria for information purposes only.  Students will no longer apply for individual scholarships.  The system will match you to scholarships based on the answers you provide on the General Application.

The login process for the students who have an existing account on the UHF Scholarship System has changed slightly this year.  Students will be required to set up a BBID (Black Baud ID) in order to access your existing account or to set up a new account if new to the process.  If a returning student, when creating their BBID, you will need to use the same email address that you used to establish your account last year.  This will link you to your existing account.  If you enter a different email account, it will not link you to your existing account.  If you cannot remember the email you used, you can email scholarship@uhfdn.org and give us your full name to request the email used.  We will reply to the email request with the email account used last year.  You will supply a new password that will be used going forward.

Creating a Blackbaud ID (BBID) for Blackbaud Award and Stewardship Management

It is important to create an account using an email you will continue to have access to. You will then have the opportunity to complete a general application.

Get started in 3 easy steps: (after account is setup)

  1. Login to the system using user name (email address) and password.
  2. Complete the General Application.  The system syncs with your data.  You are automatically matched with scholarships for which you meet the criteria.
  3. After you complete the General Application and receive a successful application submitted email, you are done!  You will receive any award notifications or regret emails via the email address used to login.  You can also check on the status of your application by logging back into the system at any time.
