Career Development Office
4604 Calhoun Road Room 8
Houston, Texas 77204-6054
The University of Houston Law Center strives to instill a commitment to public service in our graduates. In doing so, the Career Development Office highlights the rewards and challenges of providing legal services to a wide range of individuals and organizations that would otherwise have difficulty pursuing their legal rights. Through speakers and service activities, we demonstrate the wealth of experiences available in non-profit, state government, and federal government careers. Students are encouraged to experience these career options through participation in summer fellowships, clinics, academic internships, government honor programs, and volunteerism.
To further advance awareness of opportunities in the field, Career Development administers a summer public interest fellowship program, provides individual career counseling, and coordinates public interest activities. We work closely with the Public Interest Law Organization.
