Moot Court National Championship (Intellectual Property): Keynote Address by Prof. Eric Goldman. The Law Center’s Institute for Intellectual Property & Information Law (IPIL) collaborated with the Law Center’s Blakely Advocacy Institute (BAI) to implement a moot court national championship (MCNC) held by BAI each year on a rotating topic basis. With IPIL input, the 2011 MCNC topic was based on intellectual property. The MCNC is a multi-day event bringing sixteen teams from across the United States to Houston to compete. The symposium was one day of the multi-day event that is the MCNC. It brought distinguished speakers to Houston to discuss copyright and trademark doctrines, including Profs. Eric Goldman of Santa Clara University School of Law, Yvette Liebesman of Saint Louis University School of Law, and Megan Carpenter of Texas Wesleyan University School of Law.
