ITESM is one of the most prestigious private universities in Latin America. ITESM offers NACLE students courses part of the Master’s Program in International Law of the EGAP, the Graduate School of Public Policy and Public Administration.

Why Study at the Tecnológico de Monterrey?

The NACLE exchange student will have the opportunity of studying at one of the most prestigious private universities in Latin America. The Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM), was founded 1943 by a group of successful Mexican entrepreneurs. Currently, there are 32 campuses around the country that make up the Tecnológico de Monterrey Education System. Specifically, the Monterrey Campus has received both national and international recognition for providing 67 years of academic excellence to its students.

The Monterrey Campus is the largest and most recognized campus in the Tecnológico de Monterrey System. It is accredited by several national and international organizations, such as:

  • SACS – Southern Association of Colleges and Schools in the United States
  • EQUIS – European Foundation for Management Education
  • AACSB – International Association for Management Education
  • ABET – Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology

Programs Offered for International Students

There are many options available to you at ITESM. In addition to classes designed especially for you as an International Student, you may register for any number of regular classes that are attended by our degree-seeking students. If you wish to do so, your proficiency in Spanish must meet the required skill levels. Or, you may register for one of the regular courses that are taught in English. Discuss this option with your home advisor before your arrival. Be sure to have a few alternatives in mind just in case your first choice(s) is unavailable for any reason.

Undergraduate Degrees

The objective of the Bachelor of Law program is to prepare professionals who specialize in designing and applying innovations in the area of law for the administration of justice, as well as in implementing strategies for preventing and solving controversies by applying alternative means of justice. They develop abilities in using the correct language for legal argumentation and interpretation, as well as for communicating effectively verbally and in writing, in Spanish and in English. The objective of the Bachelor of Law with minor in Finance program is to prepare professionals with a solid grounding in the field of law and an in-depth knowledge of finance, specializing in proposing legal alternatives to solve problems related to corporate and public finance and participating in the design and administration of taxes, and their determination and legal defense.

Master Programs

The courses we offer for the NACLE students are part of the Master’s Program in International Law and Master in Law of the EGAP, the Graduate School of Public Policy and Public Administration. Therefore, in addition to the International Law courses, you will have the opportunity to take courses on Mexican Public Law, Economics, Public Administration, etc. (https://tec.mx/egap/).

Admission Requirements

Exchange Students

  1. Go to Tecnológico de Monterrey Online Admission Application Form
    1. Click in Not registered yet? Create an account and create a new account
    2. Please specify in the field “Campus of your interest” select: Campus Monterrey
    3. In the field “Type of admission” select: Non-degree seeking student
  2. Send by courier or express mail the following documents (Use DHL, UPS, FedEx, etc.,please don’t use any regular mail)
    1. Your most recent School Transcript with a minimum average of 80 (Mexican system) or GPA of 2.5 (USA system). Cases of average between 70 – 79 (GPA 2.0 – 2.5) will be considered at length
    2. Authorization letter from your study abroad coordinator, naming you as an exchange student (directed to Roberto Rodriguez)
