
Joseph E. Hensley
Joseph E. Hensley served with distinction on the Law Center’s faculty as a professor of law from 1963 to 1989 at which time he received professor emeritus status. Professor Hensley died May 29, 1996, after a brief illness. He was a committed advocate of clinical education as an important component of legal education. As the first director of the Legal Aid Clinic, he was instrumental in providing vanguard leadership and support at the Law Center, as well as through his pivotal role as Trustee of the Gulf Coast Legal Aid Foundation.
