Scholarships empower exceptional students from all backgrounds to follow their dreams by improving access and equity in legal education. By investing in students today, we remove financial barriers to fuel the legal minds and leaders of tomorrow. Scholarship support grows not only an individual’s prosperity, but a robust legal community, and ultimately grows a philanthropic community to continue to give back for generations to come. The initiative goal is to triple our annual philanthropic scholarship support and raise $10 million by 2026.

The University of Houston Law Center attracts high-caliber students and has a robust and generous scholarship program that is crucial to recruiting and retaining these students. Scholarships strengthen the Law Center’s efforts and empower students of all backgrounds to follow their dreams. By investing in students today, we remove financial barriers and fuel the legal minds of tomorrow’s leaders.
Since 2002, in-state tuition has more than tripled from $10,000 to almost $38,000 annually. The Law Center recognizes scholarships have become much more valuable when students make decisions about attending or staying in law school. The initiative goal is to triple our annual philanthropic scholarship support and raise $10 million by 2026. Not only will this have a tremendous impact on our students and their futures, but it will also help us compete with what our peer institutions are offering.
