Course Outline: After one of the longest periods of stable membership in its history, highlighted by the 25-year tenure of Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, the U.S. Supreme Court in 2006 entered a new era -- in terms of both personnel and outcomes. This seminar, while focused on Justice O'Connor's legacy in American legal history, allows students to explore both the jurisprudence of the changing Court and the viewpoints of its leading personalities over the past half century.
