Q: Are there any discounts given for the A. A. White DRC trainings?

A: Yes, there is a discount given only to University of Houston employees that are enrolling in the 40-Hour Basic Mediation training. The Commercial Arbitration and Specialized Mediation training participants do not receive any discount.

Q: Are there any financial aid options that can be applied to the cost of the trainings?

A: No, there is no financial aid available for these trainings.

Q: What is the refund/cancellation policy?

A: To receive a refund, less a $25.00 processing fee, cancellation must be received in writing (via fax @ 713.743.2097 or via email @ jclark@uh.edu) within 5 business days (Monday through Friday) prior to the first day of the program.

Q: What happens if I cannot make the training that I have signed up for?

A: You can opt to have your registration transferred to the next training date or you can receive a refund.

Q: What is the cap for each training course?

A: There is a cap of 35 participants for the 40-Hour Basic Mediation training class. There is a cap of 25 participants for the Commercial Arbitration training.

Q: How are the training courses structured?

A: The 40-Hour Basic Mediation and Commercial Arbitration trainings consist of a lecture portion and a role play portion. The Dispute Resolution Seminars have a panel discussion with questions from the audience to follow.
