Course Outline: This course is designed (i) to expose students to the most essential doctrines of the law of trusts and the law of wills in the context of the law of gratuitous transfers in general; (ii) to familiarize students with significant provisions of statutory laws (including the Texas Estates Code and the Texas Trust Code) of relevance in these fields; and (iii) to help students develop critical problem solving skills in the law of trusts and the law of wills.

Contrary to the UH information, some student materials may not be available online, such as an assigned casebook. A physical classroom may be assigned for this course to give students a location in the Law Center to join the virtual class sessions. If the course has a final examination, it will be conducted in a classroom in face-to-face mode requiring your physical presence. Other assessment, such as a mid-term exam, may also be in a classroom.
