August 5, 2025 –Last week, University of Houston Law Center faculty and staff offered lunch — and moral support — to graduates taking the Texas Bar Exam at Houston’s George R. Brown Convention Center. Set against the downtown skyline of one of the nation’s largest legal markets, the gesture provided a meaningful moment of respite and encouragement during the grueling two-day exam.
“The Bar Exam is the culmination of three years of hard work and students have spent the last two months preparing for this final hurdle. It’s intense,” said UHLC Director of Academic Success Lisa Cohen. “They really appreciate seeing their professors there, supporting them emotionally and psychologically. There were so many hugs, encouraging words, and all-around positive vibes, it was clear the impact faculty had on our exam takers.”
According to Cohen, more than 300 UH Law graduates were scheduled to take the bar across the country, with over 100 taking it in Houston.
