Course Outline: This course will cover legal and governance issues that affect higher education institutions: legal governance, academic freedom, faculty, students, and equity topics. The class will include law students and graduate students from other UH colleges. Each student will prepare and submit a seminar paper on an approved college law topic of your choice, which, with class participation, will result in the course grade.

On an experimental basis, I will not allow any computers or e-devices to be used in class. This means no e-versions of the course materials. I will not receive any royalties from the sales of the book materials, and will use the proceeds for class pizza at the end of the semester, and will donate the remaining funds to a UHLC student organization.
