Course Outline: This course examines Texas consumer law, with an emphasis on the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, warranty law, products liability, and state and federal debt collection laws. The course covers all of the topics covered in the Consumer Law Section of the Texas Bar. Much of the course involves the application and analysis of statutes. A combined lecture, problem, and Socratic teaching approach is used.
