Course Outline: This course examines legally enforceable promises. The topics include contract formation, contract interpretation, the performance of contractual obligations, defenses to breaches of contract, and remedies.

First Day Assignments: Welcome to Contracts! For our first class, please read carefully pages 1-2 of our casebook
Farnsworth, Young, Sanger, Cohen, Brooks and Garvin, Contracts: Cases and Materials (8th ed. 2013)
and read carefully the case of Hawkins (on page 2) and the notes that follow it.
