Course Outline: This is a practical class, focused on finding the law and legal authorities relevant to taking and defending federal tax positions. There are weekly assignments, a midterm research project and a final research project. The class is open to all L.LM students in the tax program, and to J.D. students with the instructor's permission.

Course Notes: This is an LL.M class, and JD students may register, if space is available. This course will have a special schedule to meet on Tuesday at 7:30p every other week for two hours (100 minutes), the schedule will be announced by your professor on the first day of class.
Prerequisites: Yes Prerequisites: Federal Tax and Corporate Tax recommended; ability to perform on-line searches in Lexis and/or Westlaw. This is an LLM class; JD students may take this course with instructor's permission.
