Course Outline: This course will be a practical and thorough review of Texas family law practice and procedure with an emphasis on issues that arise in the actual practice of family law. It will cover the division of property, a wide array of children's issues, temporary orders, discovery in a family law case, retirement plans, protective orders, trial skills, interviewing clients, setting and collecting attorney's fees, understanding mental health evaluations and the valuation of assets.
