Diana Olvera, Assistant Public Defender, joined the Harris County Public Defender's Officer in November, 2012. Prior to joining the Public Defender's Office, Ms. Olvera practiced criminal defense law in Harris County, Texas. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas; The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, HCC DLA; TCDLA and the NACDL. Ms. Olvera has been licensed to practice law since 1987. She received her J.D. from South Texas College of Law and a B.A. in Political Science from Southwest Texas State University. Ms. Olvera is a native of South Texas. Ms. Olvera is bilingual in English and Spanish. Ms. Olvera is Assistant Public Defender in the felony trial division of the Harris County Public Defender's Office.
