Lorena  Perez McGill


Lorena Perez McGill is an attorney and counsellor at law admitted to practice in the Dominican Republic, New York State, and the District of Columbia. She currently consults on alternative dispute resolution and international litigation matters. She currently teaches Comparative Law at the University of Houston Law Center, and previously taught International Organizations at Georgetown University Law Center.

Before relocating to Houston, she was in the Department of Legal Services at the Organization of American States, in Washington DC; and previously, at Baker Botts LLP, with the litigation, corporate, and environmental groups in Washington, DC.

Ms. Perez McGill received her Licenciatura en Derecho from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in Santiago, Dominican Republic in 1992, and her LL.M. Degree in Common Law Studies from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC, in 1999. She is an active member of the DC Bar and the American Society of International Law. She is listed on the roster of arbitrators of the Cámara de Comercio y Producción de Santo Domingo.
