An Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston Law Center in the area of Tax Law, Eleanor Beavers Haynes has been practicing law for over thirty years. She is a Member of Hayneslaw, PLLC in Houston, TX and has practiced as a Partner in the law firms of Haynes & Haynes, LLC and Haynes, Thompson, Steward, LLC in Columbus, Ohio. Ms. Haynes’ practice is concentrated primarily in the areas of Taxation, Bankruptcy, Immigration, and General Business law. Ms. Haynes has served as Special Counsel to the Attorney General, State of Ohio for over twenty years in the areas of Bankruptcy and Tax, and was an active Bankruptcy Chapter 7 Panel Trustee with the United States Trustee’s Office until December 2004. She continues to represent creditors and debtors in the areas of bankruptcy, tax and general business law

Ms. Haynes has worked as an Adjunct Instructor in Tax for Capital University’s Law School and Paralegal Program. She has also been an Assistant Professor of Business Law at Eastern Kentucky University and a Lecturer for continuing legal education seminars in the areas of tax and bankruptcy law. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association, the Columbus Bar Association, and the Ohio State Bar Association. Ms. Haynes is involved in a variety of civic and professional organizations in the Houston and Columbus communities. She holds B.A. and M.A. degrees from The Ohio State University, and received her J.D. and LL.M. degrees from the Capital University Law and Graduate Center.
