Professor Houlette is a trial lawyer with the firm of Houlette & Gray, P.L.L.C. where she handles civil cases for both plaintiffs and defendants as well as criminal defense matters and family cases of all types. Prior to opening her own firm, she was a partner at a major Houston law firm for which she worked for more than fifteen years. During her tenure there, she handled a wide variety of trial work, ranging from products liability and personal injury to commercial litigation, insurance bad faith and copyright infringement. Houlette has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Houston Law Center since 1994 when she took over as head coach of the interscholastic mock trial program. In that position, she has led the program to a national championship in 2004 and contributed to the law school’s recent ranking in the top 20 Advocacy Programs in the nation. Most recently, her team won the Georgetown White Collar Crime Mock Trial Tournament.
