                       Alissa Rubin Gomez joined the Law Center faculty in 2017 after serving six
                       years as executive director of Houston Volunteer Lawyers, the non-profit legal
                       aid arm of the Houston Bar Association. She previously practiced commercial
          litigation with King & Spalding LLP where she was the first woman associate elected partner from the
          Houston office. Texas Monthly named her a “Texas Rising Star” from 2006 to 2010.

                       Whitney Heard joined the Law Center faculty in 2007, teaching legal research
                       and writing courses as well as an introductory legal research and writing class
                       and a scholarly writing seminar for Foreign LL.M. students, and a legal research
          and writing tutorial for J.D. students. She previously worked as a litigation associate in the Chicago
          office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP.
