Houston Bar Association, Probate, Trusts & Estates
The purpose of the Probate, Trusts & Estate Section is to promote the objectives and standards of
professionalism of the Houston Bar Association within the field of probate, trusts, and estates. This
scholarship is awarded to a law student who has shown exemplary success in coursework related
to probate.

Houston Bar Association, Corporate Counsel Section Award
The purpose of the HBA Corporate Counsel Section is to promote the objectives and standards
of professionalism of the HBA within the field of corporate law. This scholarship is awarded to a
student with a strong interest in corporate/business law, as evidenced by coursework and/or work
experience and a strong academic performance.

Houston Bar Association, Construction Law Section
The purpose of the HBA Construction Law Section is to promote the objectives and standards of
professionalism of the HBA within the field of construction law.
This scholarship is awarded to a student who has a strong interest in pursuing a career in the
practice of construction law, as evidenced by coursework and/or work experience and a strong
academic performance.

ALI CLE Scholarship & Leadership Award
The American Law Institute Continuing Legal Education Group (ALI CLE) award is presented to a
graduating law student who represents a combination of scholarship and leadership, the qualities
embodied by ALI-ABA’s parent organizations, the American Law Institute and the American Bar
Association.

American Bankruptcy Institute Medal of Excellence
The Medal of Excellence program was developed by Christopher F. Graham of the New York law
firm of Thacher Proffitt & Wood LLP and inaugurated by the American Bankruptcy Institute. The
award is presented to the student who has shown exemplary success in coursework and activities
related to Bankruptcy.
