National Mediator Competition &

Tom Newhouse Representing Clients in Mediation Competition

The National Mediator Competition is the only ADR competition in the U.S. where students compete only as
mediators. It is also unique in two other respects. First, it reflects actual mediation practice in the U.S. because it is a

caucus-model focused competition. Second, it runs concurrently with the Newhouse Competition, which is the Law
Center’s in-house mediation competition. Students from the Law Center compete in the Newhouse Competition, and

the student mediators come from law schools around the country.
