IEL presents the 12th Annual Energy Litigation Conference (posted 09/30/2013)
The IEL will be presenting the 12th Annual Energy Litigation Conference at the JW Marriott Hotel in Houston on November 7, 2013. As a Law School Member of the IEL, the UHLC may send two students to the conference free of tuition charges. Full details of the program can be found at http://www.cailaw.org/institute-for-energy-law/events/2013/12th-annual-energy-litigation-conference.html
If you would like to attend this conference, please send April Moreno at afmoreno@Central.UH.edu an email by October 27, with the following information:
1. a statement of why you want to attend; how this conference will help you in your career goals;
2. your vita or resume
3. a list of courses you have taken to date in the Energy/Environment area.
4. Whether you have been selected to attend previous conferences (sponsored by IEL or other conference providers, such as the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation) and whether you have received travel subsidies from the EENR Center for any previous conferences.
The two students will be selected on October 28, and Professor Weaver, as law center trustee to IEL, will send your names to IEL. You cannot register yourself. If more than 2 students apply, the seats will go to those who applied first, all other things being equal. The EENR Center at the Law Center can also provide subsidized attendance to additional students.
Other forthcoming IEL conferences which two students are entitled to attend include:
* 2nd Midstream Oil & Gas Law Conference, Houston, November 22nd, 2013
