You may place orders for announcements and regalia rental online or at the Law Center Bookstore, which is located on the first floor of the Calhoun Lofts. We encourage you to use the online ordering for quick and efficient service.
February 18th  – March 18th Online ordering – You may order your regalia and
announcements on-line at
February 23rd & 24th Graduation Fair (10:00 am – 4:00 pm) – You will be able to preview samples of the announcements and the regalia at the Law Bookstore.
If you are planning to order announcements, we recommend that you go to the Law Center Bookstore to view the announcements before ordering.
February 24th – March 24th You may order your regalia through the Law Center Bookstore in-person.
Please refer to the bookstore fliers included in this packet for more information on prices and how to order announcements and regalia.

You must complete the Graduate survey before picking up your regalia.

April 17th – May 12th Pick-up regalia from Law Center Bookstore.
(The bookstore is not open on weekends.)
May 2nd  – May 12th Pick up line-up card and instruction packet in the Office of Student Services, Suite 30 TU-II.

The Law Center Convocation is scheduled for Saturday, May 13th at NRG Arena, beginning at 6:00 pm, and lasts approximately 2 ½ hours. 


The Law Center Reception will take place on Friday, May 12th from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the Law Center.


The Convocation Ceremony is a hooding ceremony only; diplomas are not handed out at the ceremony.  Your diploma will be mailed to you later during the summer after your final grades are received, and the University has cleared your record of all academic and financial obligations.  If you have an outstanding balance with the University for any expense such as tuition, parking citations, library fines, etc.; you will not be certified as a graduate until it is resolved.

The only honor cords worn at the convocation ceremony are those special honor cords presented by the Order of the Barons to their members.


Obtain your line-up card from the Office of Student Services front desk, May 2nd to May 12th (by 3 pm). Do not forget to bring your card with you to the Convocation.  It will be numbered to enable you to find your place in the processional and as you proceed onto the stage to be hooded; you will hand the card to the person announcing names. In addition, the card is later used by the photographer to assist in identifying photographs.


A professional photographer will be taking pictures of individual graduates during the hooding ceremony.  The proofs will be mailed to the graduates using the mailing labels furnished by our office.

NOTE:  Guests will NOT be allowed on to the floor where the graduates are seated in order to take pictures. However, an area will be reserved for photographs in the audience seating area.



There will be a UH bookstore personnel at NRG to take your regalia after the ceremony or you may return it to the Law Bookstore no later than 3pm on Tuesday, May 16th. A late fee will be charged for regalia returned after May 16th.   

You keep the hood and tam, the robe must be returned!
