Course Notes: (Custom Mode) The UH registration system instruction mode for this course is SF – which stands for “Synchronous – On Campus Exams”. Contrary to the UH information, some student materials may not be available online, such as an assigned casebook. If the course has a final examination, it will be conducted in a classroom in face-to-face mode requiring your physical presence. Other assessment, such as a mid term exam, may also be in a classroom. This course will have Face-to-Face meetings for some sessions in some week(s) of the term. The course syllabus will specify the week(s) when you must attend some sessions Face-to-Face (f2f). The f2f session(s)/week(s) may be specified for the full semester, or scheduled by the instructor as the semester proceeds, with at least a week of advance notice when converting a class session to f2f.
Students taking this course must be prepared on a weekly basis to either attend a face-to-face class session with Judge Edison, or attend a zoom class session.
The course will have a majority of its 14 regular class sessions occur on zoom as synchronous distance education.
On some weeks Judge Edison will notify students that the class session will be face-to-face at the Law Center. Such notice will be at least ten calendar days in advance. When class sessions are face-to-face, students should not count on remote presence being available.
