Course Syllabus: For more information on this course and the professor, please visit http://www.bauer.uh.edu/arbogast/.
Course Notes: If you are planning to register for Professor Arbogast’s courses, but most notably for Tactics and Techniques of Project Finance; Strategy of Project Finance or . Case Studies in International Finance, please send Professor Jacqueline Weaver an email at email@example.com which answers the following questions:
1. Do you have a background in finance, such that you can do a simple DCF or IRR business model? Please submit a vita with your statement of background.
2. If not, why is the finance course specially important to you?
If you do not have a good background in finance, wait until Spring 2014 to take the Ethics and Finance course, first. It is very good for lawyers and will teach you many basics of finance. Registration for these courses is a three-step process. First, submit the screening information to Prof. Weaver to get her approval to register. Second, Prof. Weaver will send her approval to Derrick Gabriel in Student Services and he will place your name on a waiting list for the course. Bauer registration is not finalized until August, so you will not be officially registered until August. Third, if space is available (which it usually is), you will be notified by Derrick Gabriel that you can register for the Arbogast course. Also note: JD students may not take more than 12 credit hours of non-law courses; LLM students may take no more than 6 credit hours.
