August 09, 2022 – Students attending the University of Houston Law Center will soon have the opportunity to participate in a joint academic program with the Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) in Saudi Arabia. The UH Law Center and PMU recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding, a contract to establish an official collaboration between the two universities.

“This is a momentous occasion. To my knowledge, this is the first Memorandum of Understanding that UH has entered into with a university in Saudi Arabia,” said Karen Jones, UHLC Global and Graduate Programs Executive Director.

A virtual celebration of the agreement signing was held earlier this summer. Joining Jones in representing the University of Houston were Michael Pelletier, Executive Director of the Institute for Global Engagement and Leonard M. Baynes, Dean of the University of Houston Law Center. Attending on behalf of the PMU College of Law were Dr. Mohammad Hussein Bashayreh, Dr. Samuel Andrews, Dr. Samia Hasson and Dr. Sara Fouad Almohamadi.

UH Law Center and PMU aim to prepare graduates for professional careers by offering the highest quality academic programs in a learning environment that fosters research and nourishes creativity. The two universities offer diverse and inclusive communities with a focus on global connectedness and engagement.
