June 16, 2022 – The University of Houston Law Center held its annual alumni meeting on Thursday, June 9. Dean Leonard M. Baynes discussed 75th anniversary celebrations, progress on the Fuel the Future campaign and the upcoming move to the new John M. O’Quinn Law Building.
“I was delighted that we were able to host the UH Law alumni annual meeting in person for the first time in three years contemporaneous with the Texas State Bar Annual Meeting. It was great to see long-time friends and meet new ones as well as to share updates on the continued upward trajectory of the Law Center. As I mentioned during my talk, with the power of the alumni backing, we can continue to move mountains as we have done in constructing the $93 million John M. O’Quinn Law Building,” said Baynes.
The Law Alumni Association also announced the 2022-2023 Board of Directors. New to the UHLAA this year are board members Scott D. Ellis '06, Fermeen Fazal '00 and Mishell Parreno Taylor '03. Departing member Kimberly D. Levi ’93 was thanked for her service.
