UH Law Center's Hester named among best environmental lawyers in the U.S.

Aug. 15, 2019 — University of Houston Law Center lecturer Tracy Hester's expertise in environmental law will be highlighted by a top peer review publication in the legal profession.

Best Lawyers will include Hester among "The Best Lawyers in America" in its 26th edition in 2020.

Hester teaches Environmental Law, Statutory Interpretation and Regulatory Practice, Climate Change Law, Environmental Enforcement and an Environmental Practicum course at the Law Center.  In Fall 2019, he will teach the first law course on Climate Intervention Law.  Hester also co-directs the University of Houston’s Center on Carbon Management in Energy with Dr. Ramanan Krishnamoorti.

He recently published a book, "Mastering Environmental Law," through the Carolina Academic Press. His co-author, Joel Mintz, is a professor at Nova Southeastern University's Shepard Broad College of Law.  Hester is also a member of the American Law Institute and a regent for the American College of Environmental Law.
