Associate Dean of Alumni and Community Relations Sondra R. Tennessee has made mental wellness in the legal profession a priority at the University of Houston Law Center and with the American Bar Association.
July 10, 2019 - Sondra R. Tennessee, the Associate Dean of Alumni and Community Relations at the University of Houston Law Center, will be working with attorneys from across the country to improve mental health wellness throughout the legal profession.
Tennessee was recently reappointed to the American Bar Association's Commission on Lawyer Assistance Program. The commission seeks to provide professional help to lawyers, judges and law students who have alcohol and substance abuse disorders, among other mental health issues.
Members are annually nominated to the commission, which Tennessee has served on since August 2017.
