LL.M. Class of 2020 receives warm welcome to the UH Law Center

LL.M. students received a glimpse of the University of Houston Law Center during a recent reception in the Hendricks Heritage Room.

June 14, 2019 - Entering Master of Laws students had a meet-and-greet session with University of Houston Law Center faculty and the Global and Graduate Programs staff for the LL.M. Admitted Students Reception event last week in the Hendricks Heritage Room.

"Thank you so much for choosing the University of Houston Law Center," Dean Leonard M. Baynes said. "I am thankful that you're here at this great institution with nationally and internationally-known programs.  I want to congratulate our Global and Graduate Programs team for bringing in this class.
"If you're from a different country and different system, it will show you that the questions and issues may be different, but the debates and discussions often stay the same. But it gives you an insight into the United States' history, culture and background."

The class currently has 38 students with 18 countries represented.

"The event is always an exciting one for the Global and Graduate Programs team," said Karen Jones, Executive Director of Global and Graduate Programs. "It is our opportunity to see face-to-face the applicants, and now accepted students, who we have gotten to know and have become quite fond of throughout the application process.

“The incoming class of LL.M.s is impressive and of high caliber. They are a very diverse group in every sense representing Africa, Europe, Middle East, Asia, North America, Central America and South America. I look forward to walking through this LL.M. journey with them over the next year.”
