National marketing publication honors UH Law Center marketing team with two awards

Jan. 29, 2020 — The University of Houston Law Center Communications and Marketing department earned two awards for publications in an annual competition sponsored by a national higher education marketing report.

The Law Center’s Briefcase magazine 2018 Year in Review edition was cited for “merit” in the Online Publication category while the Dean’s Report 5 Years of Accomplishments publication earned “merit” honors in the Annual Report category.  

The UHLC marketing team consists of Carrie Anna Criado, assistant dean of communications and marketing, Elena Hawthorne, assistant director of communications and marketing, John Kling, communications manager, John Brannen, senior writer and media relations representative, Jaymie Turner, program manager, Victoria Quijano, multimedia specialist, and Ruth McCleskey and Baroness Adams, web developers.

The 7th Annual Education Digital Marketing Awards, sponsored by Higher Education Marketing Report, drew entries from colleges, universities and secondary schools across the country. A national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals, and members of the sponsor’s editorial board judged the entries.

Higher Education Marketing Report has been a resource for higher education marketing professionals for thirty-five years.
