April 30, 2019 —The University of Houston Law Center finished second among the state’s 10 law schools in the percentage of first-time examinees to pass the February state bar exam.
Twenty-four of the 28 graduates, or 85.71 percent, passed the exam.
“The Law Center admits highly credentialed and extremely talented law students,” said Dean Leonard M. Baynes. “We are very proud of their accomplishments and their success on the February bar exam.
“Many thanks to Professor Megan Davis, Associate Dean Sondra Tennessee, Associate Dean Greg Vetter, and Director of Student Advising Monica Mensah for their efforts in helping our students excel on the Texas bar exam. We will continue to monitor our students’ performance to ensure that they excel on upcoming bar exams.“
The Law Center trailed only the University of Texas School of Law which saw all six of its graduates pass.
