April 15, 2019 — Tax law professors from across the state will gather at the University of Houston Law Center May 17 to present research papers and discuss works-in-progress at the Fifth Annual Texas Tax Faculty Workshop.
The roundtable format will feature four or five presentations with topics ranging from papers that discuss the implications of the recent 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act to papers that discuss further developments in the law. Each attendee will also briefly outline their current writing agenda to obtain feedback from the other participants.
“The workshop is an excellent opportunity for full-time tax professors in this state to collaborate on research agendas and to provide peer review comments on papers before the summer begins,” said Bret Wells, Law Foundation Professor of Law who is coordinating the event.
The workshop will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., May 17, in the Skyline Room 223, Student Center South, 4455 University Drive, on the University of Houston campus.
