April 10, 2019 – For the second time this year, the University of Houston Law Center’s Alternate Dispute Resolution team has secured a win in a national competition.
The ADR team, composed of 3L students Samin Agha and Andrew Vaughan, beat the University of Texas School of Law in the final round of the Energy Law Negotiation Competition on Sunday hosted by the South Texas College of Law - Houston.
“As finalists in this competition last year, Andrew and Samin came back this year and showed that determination and perseverance, in addition to skill, are important qualities for a successful advocate to have,” said Jim Lawrence, executive director of the Law Center’s Blakely Advocacy Institute.
The team was coached by Law Center graduates Ian Brown ’17, Megan Daic ’13 and Zach Scott ’18.
