UHLC moot court team wins ‘Best Brief’

Moot April 2, 2012 -- A University of Houston Law Center team won the “Best Respondents Brief” award at the 2012 Elon University School of Law national moot court competition in Greensboro, N.C. The winning team of Courtney Walsh, Ballari Mukherjee and Susannah Russell received the highest overall brief score in the competition. The Law Center team of Kelsey Heaton, Philip Morgan and Andrea Zepeda reached the semi-finalist round. Thirty-three teams representing 21 law schools participated in the second annual Billings, Exum & Frye National Moot Court Competition on March 30 and 31. The tournament is named in honor of three North Carolina Supreme Court justices.
