University of Houston Law Center Clinical Professor Janet Heppard
Nov. 9, 2020 - University of Houston Law Center Clinical Professor Janet Heppard will be the next District Judge of the 387th Judicial District in Fort Bend County, following the results of last week’s election.
“I ran for this court because I wanted to make a difference, especially in the area of access to justice,” Heppard said. “I am thankful to the voters of Fort Bend County for selecting me for this position. I will miss teaching the students, working with them in the civil clinic and working with my wonderful colleagues at the Law Center.”
Heppard is a 1994 alumna of the Law Center and serves as Director of the Clinical Legal Education Program and Civil Practice Clinic and is a Clinical Professor.
