Jones spreads UH Law Center's message to Chinese businesses and universities

University of Houston Law Center Executive Director of Global and Graduate Programs Karen Jones visits with legal professionals at the Fudan University Law School in Shanghai.

Oct. 31, 2019 - Executive Director of Global and Graduate Programs Karen Jones promoted the University of Houston Law Center during a recent overseas trip to China. Jones visited a number of universities, firms and companies during her journey.

Among her stops were the Peking University Law School in Beijing, the Zhejiang Liuhe Law Firm in Hangzhou, the DA WO Law Firm and Fudan University Law School in Shanghai and Liaocheng University in the Shandong province. Jones interacted with administrators, professors and Law Center alumni during her trip.

“A major goal of the dean and a key reason for my role is to expand the global footprint of the University of Houston Law Center,” Jones said. “During my recent trip to China, I spent 10 days doing outreach to help further that goal. We hope to not only get more Chinese students in our law school programs, but just as important establish relationships in China and across the globe that will enhance the educational experience of all of our students.

“During my trip, I also promoted our wonderful LL.M. programs, faculty and student exchanges, customized training and other opportunities available through the UH Law Center.”
