University of Houston President and System Chancellor Dr. Renu Khator (center) was joined by Law Center administrators, faculty, students and staff for a special meeting last week.
Oct. 30, 2019 - A group of University of Houston Law Center faculty, staff and students presented UH President and System Chancellor Dr. Renu Khator with a faculty resolution of support, personal thank you notes, and flowers last Friday in appreciation of her work for a new Law Center facility.
“It is always important to express gratitude,” said Dean Leonard M. Baynes. “The Law Center wanted to thank President Khator for her bold and dynamic leadership on the new Law Center facility. “
In August, the UH System Board of Regents unanimously approved $78 million in funding for a new Law Center building. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2021.
The Law Center has set a funding goal of $90 million for the project and is launching a final push to raise the remaining $12 million before a November 1 deadline. Click here for more information on the final phase of the building campaign.
