Oct. 25, 2019 - The Texas Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education will recognize the University of Houston Law Center at a welcome reception on Nov. 14 on the University of Texas campus.
The Law Center will be acknowledged for its fourth consecutive INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award. The Law Center will also be presented with a TADHOE Diversity and Inclusion Excellence Achievement plaque.
“It is very humbling for the Law Center to receive all this recognition,” Baynes said. “It is truly an honor for the Law Center to be spotlighted by the Texas Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education. It means a lot for the honor to come from our peers in Texas.”
The Law Center was previously the recipient of the American Bar Association Alexander Award in January for the work of the UHLC Pre-Law Pipeline Program. The National Diversity Council will recognize Baynes as a Diversity Champion at the Top 50 General Counsel Dinner on Oct. 30 in Houston.
