UH Law Center ranks as ‘Best Value’ among nation’s law schools
Oct. 2, 2013 – The University of Houston Law Center has once again been recognized in the annual “Best Value” survey of law schools conducted by The National Jurist. This year’s review shows the Law Center as a solid B+, based on the magazine’s analysis of tuition, student debt, bar passage and employment rates.
The survey is designed to grade law schools based on graduates’ chances of passing the bar and obtaining a legal job without accumulating a huge amount of debt. The survey considers tuition and cost of living in addition to bar passage rate, weighted employment rate, and average debt upon graduation. Data sources are the ABA, Law School Admission Council, and U.S. News & World Report.
“The Law Center is proud of the fact that it continues to provide a quality legal education with outstanding job prospects and that it has consistently been rated a ‘Best Value’,“ said Interim Dean Richard Alderman.
